Every five years a survey of the church is carried out and in February 2014 the PCC were advised that urgent repairs and restoration of the roof slopes to the south side of the nave and chancel were required.
The PCC accepted a quote from Polegate Roofing and would like to say thank you to the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund for a most generous grant of £25,000.00, the balance coming from the VAT refund and church funds.
The roofs have been re-tiled and we are hoping that the bats will enjoy a warm and comfortable winter in their refurbished accommodation!
