We need to carry out some surveys at Darwell Reservoir

We’ll be carrying out some survey and ground investigation work at Darwell Reservoir as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the safety and reliability of the site.

As part of this work, we’ll also be installing monitoring equipment on the dam wall. This equipment will help with our long term assessment of the structure.

The work will include the use of small machinery to survey the ground close to our site. The area arrowed in blue is the area where the monitoring equipment will be installed

How will this affect you?

Parking at the fishing club will be limited during the week.
Access along the top of the Dam will be restricted in certain areas to help keep staff and the public safe.
You might see more people on site and small machinery.
We’re sorry, some of the machinery might be noisy. It won’t be all day or every day. We won’t

start any noisy work before 8am.

Our working hours

Our normal working hours are 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, but we won’t start any noisy work until 8am. We don’t expect to work on weekends or bank holidays, but we may need to sometimes to complete the job on time.
