King George’s Field is a charitable trust, number 305281, the sole trustee is Mountfield Parish Council.
It is one of the jewels in Mountfield’s crown and is a summer sports field for cricket, archery and stoolball.
In 2012 we built our new pavilion. This was an incredible community effort, with the most generous donations of cash, time and unpaid work by members of the community, British Gypsum, Photonic Science, the Mountfield Cricket Club, the Hastings and St. Leonards Bowmen and Rother District Council for a very generous end of project grant of £5,000.00.
In 2016 we installed completely new post and rail fencing around the field, once again, thank you Rother District Council for your generous grant of £2,000.00.
The field is kept in its pristine state entirely by volunteers, so thank you Tim, Pete and all those who help.
