DRAFT MINUTES OF THE KING GEORGE’S FIELD TRUST MEETING HELD ON 9th SEPTEMBER 2025.

1. Apologies for absence
Trust members J. Giles, M. Hardy and R. Purdie sent apologies.
2. Accuracy of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was agreed to amend an error on the draft minutes of the meeting on 31.03.25. The date of the Jubilee Cricket Match was correctly amended to 31.08.25. Otherwise, the minutes were deemed to be a correct record of the proceedings.
3. Discussion on works to be carried out during 2025-26
- A new cesspit and toilet block are very urgently needed.
- It was agreed that MPC and KGF Trust would apply for a grant from the Rother District Council Community Grants Fund.
- This is a match funding grant and Mountfield CC agreed to contribute funds to this.
- One quote has been obtained and Mountfield CC are seeking two others.
- It was agreed that MPC would provide £5K and the KGF Trust would provide £2.5K.
- Please note that this grant application will be on the agenda at the MPC meeting on 14.10.25 when the grant application will be finalised.
4. Debrief on Jubilee Cricket Match 2025
It was, once again, a very successful day and a cracking game. Mountfield CC thanked MPC for providing the “liquid refreshments” that were appreciated by all.
