DRAFT MINUTES OF THE KING GEORGE’S FIELD MEETING HELD ON 10th MARCH 2026

1. Apologies for absence
Members of the Trust, M. Hardy and S. O’Sullivan sent apologies.
2. Accuracy of the minutes of the previous meeting
RESOLVED: that the draft minutes of the KGF meeting held on 09.09.25 were deemed to be an accurate record of the proceedings. Trustee Member N. Whines proposed and the Chair seconded, the voting was unanimous. The minutes were signed by the Chair.
3. Installation of new cess pit
RESOLVED: to accept the quotation from H&T Building Services for the sum £5,800 plus VAT. Trustee Member N. Whines proposed and J. Giles seconded, the voting was unanimous.
This sum will be split between the KGF Trust and MPC, MPC will claim the VAT back from HMRC.
4. Jubilee Cricket Match 2026
The date of the Jubilee Cricket Match 2026 has been set for Sunday 5th July 2026. MPC will provide beer, wine and soft drinks, MCC will provide the cricket tea.
5. Any other matters
No other outstanding matters for discussion. The main issue is the new cess pit which will be installed shortly.
MCC continue to keep the ground and pavilion in pristine condition, for which many thanks.
6. Date of next meeting
08.09.26 – starts 7.00pm in Mountfield Village Hall.
