DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MOUNTFIELD PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 10th DECEMBER 2024

3. Apologies for absence
Apologies were made by Councillors O’Sullivan and Purdie.
4. Accuracy of the minutes of the previous meeting(s)
RESOLVED – that the draft minutes of the meeting held on 12.11.24 be confirmed as an accurate record of the proceedings. Councillor Whines proposed and Councillor Giles seconded, the voting was unanimous. The minutes were signed by the Chair.
5. Open Forum
Public Question Time
The applicant for planning application RR/2024/1779/P was present at the meeting and assured the Members of the following:
- All four plots are to be used by members of the same family.
- Touring caravans are not in and out on a daily basis, they will be used occasionally for holidays etc.
- There will be no visiting caravans, the touring caravans will only be used by the same family.
- The plot is well screened and the intention is the plant more trees and hope to increase biodiversity.
- Plans for services are in progress, electricity and water and a sewage treatment plant.
- The deeds of the land/plots will ensure that they cannot be sold on to others without a licence.

6.1 Planning application for consideration
RR/2024/1779/P Valentine Ridge, London Road
Change of use of the land for the stationing of four static caravans for Gypsy and Traveller occupation and four touring caravans, with associated amenity buildings and hard and soft landscaping.
AGREED: to support this application, subject to a personal occupancy condition restricting permanent occupancy of the application site to the applicant and her immediate family.
The Chair and Councillors Whines, Hardy supported this agreement, Councillor Giles abstained.

- * Ticehurst PC, pledge towards JR fees – £1,500.00
