Just had email from Highways England, they will be carrying out survey works to ascertain the current ground condition of the highway.

In addition, there will be two nights of lane closures – A21 north and southbound from John’s Cross to Stream Lane. The dates are 06.04.20 and 07.04.20 from 8.00pm to 6.00am.
A2100 repairs update 1
I have just heard that the repairs/resurfacing to the A2100 (John’s Cross to level crossing) will now not take place until Summer 2020, due to road space issues.
Many thanks to all who emailed me with their comments, regarding storm water/heavy rain etc., and the actions that should take place to contain this. I’ve passed your comments (with redacted personal details) to ESCC Highways.

A2100 – STATE OF THE ROAD FROM JOHN’S CROSS TO THE LEVEL CROSSING
There is light at the end of a very long tunnel – I have just received an email from ESCC Highways that says “I am pleased to inform you that plans have been put into place to refurbish this section of the carriageway. Some parts are to be completely re-constructed, other parts resurfaced. This work is planned for April, but not yet finalised as checks need to be made into road space, i.e. any other planned roadworks by utility companies etc.”
I’ll keep you all up-to-date as I get further information.
