To consider Rother District Council’s decision to issue a Lawful Development Certificate to Southern Water for solar panels arrays, security fencing and CCTV at its water pumping station in Mountfield Lane – and to agree a course of action.

Variation to condition 2 imposed on RR/2022/2991/P to allow amendments to the internal layout of units 1 and 2 to provide a home office to each unit, proposed wider window to unit 1 due to enlargement of home office; the side doors noted to be fixed shut will now be blocked up and installation of new window to unit 2.

7.1 ENF/69/18/MOU – Walter Wood, access off A21.

Gates, engineering works, storage of waste materials, shipping containers and caravans on land. Construction of buildings without permission. Change of use of land to mixed use including forestry and residential use. There is still activity taking place at site and the compliance period for the enforcement notices served has passed, case re-opened for review.

MPC Extraordinary Council Meeting – 11.06.24

Mountfield Parish Council will be holding an Extraordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 11th June 2024, in the Village Hall and starting at 7.30pm.
This meeting is to discuss the application RR/2023/2467/O for a Certificate of Lawfulness for the installation of 1.2MW peak free-standing ground mounted solar panel array.
The location is land south of Park Pale House in Mountfield Lane.

Rubicol Musical Megafest 8th June – UPDATED

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS POST – POSTER BELOW NOW HAS THE NAMED BANDS PERFORMING!

A big musical event takes place at Mountfield Village Hall on 8th June 2024.
It is a celebration of the lives of Ruby Willis and Colin Harmer, who made such a contribution to village life.
It all starts at 12pm, with a short ceremony led by Councillor Kathryn Field to place commemorative plaques by the flowering cherry trees at the front of the hall in memory of Ruby and Colin.
Music starts at 12.30pm and a number of live bands will be playing lots of different styles of music throughout the day, see poster below for details.
The Mountfield Club bar will be open throughout the day, along with a BBQ and tea and cakes will be available from the kitchen.
There will be outside games and activities for children and adults alike, and Barbara Valentine will be doing face portraits.
There will be limited seating only and a marquee cover, so please bring chairs with you.

Consultation Rother Draft Local Plan 2020-2040/Draft Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HEELA)

Rother’s Draft Local Plan is out for consultation, deadline is 23.07.24.
Also of interest is the Draft Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HEELA).  Mountfield is on pages 56-47 and all sites identified have been rejected for development.
