To consider the adoption of the Email and IT Policy as presented by the Clerk.

8. Playground – Sovereign Compliance Agreement

For Members to consider adopting Sovereign’s Compliance Agreement for maintenance and safety of play equipment/

9. Consultation of RDC Draft Local Plan

For Members to discuss this and any implications for Mountfield.

10. Rother District Council Community Grants Fund

To discuss RDC’s refusal of the KGF/MPC application and any further steps.

11. Highways England/John’s Cross speed limits

Legal notices regarding speed limits have been received from National Highways. These are now posted on the MPC website. (COUNCILLOR PURDIE)

12. Southern Water Solar Array

To receive any further information regarding this matter. (COUNCILLOR O’SULLIVAN)

13. Village Waste Collection

The siting of a litter bin at New Cut is looking increasingly problematic, due to permissions for location and expense.
For Members to consider signage as an alternative in the first instance.

14. Matters outstanding

Quotes for work on the Telephone Box are still being sought.

15.1 Planning application for consideration:

RR/2025/2028/FULL – Land East Of London Road, Mountfield

Change of use of the land for the stationing of nine static caravans for Gypsy and Traveller occupation and nine touring caravans, erection of nine day rooms and hard and soft landscaping.

6. Grants and donations

6.1 To consider the annual grant from MPC to the Mountfield Village Hall Committee towards the Bonfire Event and Children’s Christmas Party.

6.2 To consider a donation Mountfield FC to thank them for the use of their pavilion for water and toilet facilities during the installation of the new playground equipment.

7. Rother District Council Community Grants Fund

To discuss applying for a grant in full or towards the new septic tank at the KGF, now urgently needed.

8. Playground

8.1 To discuss the installation of new playground equipment from Sovereign Play (expected September/October 2025). (COUNCILLOR WHINES)

8.2 To discuss investigating a service agreement with Sovereign Play, they will inspect all playground equipment.

8.3 To finalise the wording of the signage on the front gate.

9. Highways England/John’s Cross speed limits

Councillor Purdie to brief on the latest situation and to discuss the loan/rent/purchase of a Black Cap speeding device. (COUNCILLOR PURDIE)

10. Southern Water Solar Array

Councillor O’Sullivan to brief on the latest situation and any actions to be taken. There is serious concern regarding the noise from the pumping station.

11. Mountfield Village Hall Rest Centre/Resilience Plan

Councillor Whines to brief on the latest situation and any actions to be taken.

12. Wastebin in New Cut

There is still an issue with finding an organisation to legally dispose of such waste.

13. Devolution/Local Government Reorganisation

The Chair will be attending an important meeting on 30.09.25 which is an update and discussion about the above. (CHAIR)

14. Matters Outstanding

14.1 Defibrillator for Eatenden Lane. The backboard and post are now installed and the Clerk is ready to order the defibrillator. (CLERK)

14.2 Telephone Box, New Cut – the Clerk and Councillor O’Sullivan are obtaining quotes for cleaning and refurbishment. (CLERK/COUNCILLOR O’SULLIVAN)

15.1 Planning application for consideration

  • RR/2025/1331/P – 10 Mountfield Villas, Solomon’s Lane

Proposed removal of existing conservatory and construction of a single storey extension t the rear with roof light. Proposed first floor extension to form bedroom with ensuite.

15.2 Comments made under delegated authority

  • RR/2025/1097/P – 1 Woodsdale Cottages, London Road

Proposed annexe to provide overspill living accommodation for family members.

Object on the grounds that it is over-development, the proposed development being too large relative to the footprint of the main dwelling.
