I’ve recently been told of an oil tank that was emptied by thieves in the John’s Cross area. The resident’s tank had just been topped up in November.
We have to assume that such thefts will only continue and increase .
Please take what steps you can to protect your oil tanks – locks, alarms, be vigilant.

Have your say on the future of the High Weald AONB
We are currently seeking feedback as part of our work towards the next High Weald AONB Management Plan, which is due to be published in 2024.
A draft version of the next Plan will be available for formal public consultation in late Spring 2023.
In the meantime, we are keen to gather early feedback on some of the new topics we are hoping to include in the next Plan. Your comments are important; they can help us shape the next Management Plan and how the High Weald AONB is managed for the next 5 years.
Please find a link below to a quick survey on the proposed new content – you do not have to be familiar with the current Management Plan to take part in this survey, however you can access the current High Weald AONB Management Plan here if you wish. The survey is open until the end of November 2022.
