New defibrillator for Mountfield

Very pleased to let you know that we have now installed a defibrillator to benefit the Mountfield residents living south of the level crossing.
The defibrillator is situated in Eatenden Lane, on the left hand side coming down from Netherfield, just before the Mine Road – you can’t miss it in its bright yellow box.
Many thanks to Matt Tidmarsh (H&T Building Services) for the post, backboard and installation.
This defibrillator is now registered on The Circuit, the national UK database for all emergency services.

Our new Cat Boat in the playground

We have just installed a new piece of equipment in the playground from Sovereign Play Equipment  – a Cat Boat. Our youngsters will be able to sail the seven seas, no doubt repel boarders, walk the plank (slide) and generally have a lot of fun.
Many thanks to all who helped with this, our Vice-Chair Neil Whines, who project-managed the whole thing, Mountfield Football Club who let the installers use their pavilion for water and toilet facilities and Matt Tidmarsh (H&T Building Services) who cemented all the benches down and cleared the site for installation.

The meeting is in Mountfield Village Hall (make sure you go to the right village hall!)

There will be FREE DRINKS (alcoholic and soft) and nibbles. This is partly a social occasion, an opportunity to have a relaxing chat with neighbours and others in Brightling, Dallington, Mountfield and Netherfield. It is also our AGM (Annual General Meeting) so there will be some brief formalities (very brief, we promise) including electing the committee that runs the magazine between parties.

We will also be showing off our ideas for an updated cover design, please come and give us your views.

The committee hopes that as many people as possible will come. It’s an opportunity to show your support for the magazine (if you like it) or tell us what’s wrong (if you don’t like it!), or just a relaxing evening with a glass of wine or something.

I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday evening.
Andrew Wedmore (Chair, Messenger Magazine)
